Posted by Wally De La Fuente on December 10, 2024 at 3:59 pmCan you name the 5 steps to plant a healthy church that were talked about in the video? Discuss why you think it is important they are in that order, or why you do not think it is important.

5 Steps are:
Evangelism
Discipleship
Membership
Leadership
Worship service.
This order is the best since it terget the unsaved , nurtures the converts, intergrates the new disciples in the church system and helps them to own the vision of the planting pastor.

I have seen a group of people together as a church but with with no cohesion, the leader cant even detail their faith status wither born again or not, or when the became christians. That becomes a breeding ground for non believers influencing the church from within. Sometimes even in leadership position

Yes, Patrick. Unfortunately, the Church has perhaps over-emphasized evangelism and assumed that those who came to faith would then have the full knowledge and behaviors of a believer. We forgot that these converts are babes in Christ and need to be nurtured through discipling. Once discipled, they need to come together as the local church. Some of these will show leadership ability and becoming leaders in the emerging church, or even emerging leaders in the local church (two ways of looking at them).

These are very critical and valuable guides in establishing healthy churches.
Am inspired and have got to see some of the pitfalls I never knew of.
Looking forward to go the next subsequent steps.

Starting with the end in mind, our first Church Plant in our area began in the reverse order and for sure, we really did struggle.
Wally, kindly take not of this experience for a subject of later conversation as we share experiences a long the journey.

Philip you are not alone. Many have done the exact same process. We learn from our errors, and God’s grace is sufficient to see us through and onto the right path for planting a healthy church.

This is indeed very critical. The very essence of why this course is coming at the most appropriate time.

I concur with the five steps. However, since church planting is not just restricted to countries with freedom of worship, planting may start from membership of a particular group, the planter’s life of love may start touching the lives of members who may ask him/her the secret of such life. From there testimony( evangelism) may commence, followed by conversion of souls who may be discipled, and the sequence follows from there.

Evangelism, discipleship,membership, Fellowship, worship. <div>
Evangelism powerfully reaches the sinners with the gospel resulting in conviction of souls. After conviction and baptism, the saved are taken thru discipleship session to abide by the teachings of Christ. Fellowship starts where worship becomes the major business.

Five steps are. (1)Evangelism (2) Discipleship (3) Membership (4) Leadership (5) Worship service. For me I understand they come in that order because when we do Evangelism,we tell people about Jesus Christ, after telling them we invite them and they become Disciples and become members and among them appoints leaders to lead and Worship Jesus Christ.
